Viva la Electronica ULTRA pres Kudios & Hüttenhausen

We go on with the ULTRA shows with two guys from Ruhr area which also take part at the next Viva la Electronica Event in Essen at the Frohnatur Club.

Martin, IT specialist by fate, and Theodoros, banker, were born in 1985 and after meeting repeatedly at various infamous parties in the Rhine-Ruhr area in their 20s, they grew to like each other fairly well.

From day one, their shared passion of not being able to spend a day without an eardrum penetration in 4/4 time seemed rather
disturbing, but instead of growing tired of it, this devotion grows stronger day by day.

In 2009, Martin and a certain Andie, aka TRASHFORMERS, smelled the sweaty air behind DJ boots for the first time and since then teamed up to be part of a regular “This is Electro” night which even attracted a few people. It was not until August 2011 when Martin finally, with one hypocritically-crying and one glassy eye, surrendered to Theo’s suggestion to join forces and to use some contacts in the electronic music scene around Bochum with the view to sleep their ways up the corporate ladder into the epicentre of electronic club nights in the Rhine-Ruhr area.

Although Martin and Theodoros have always shown a slight tendency to wander off from one genre to another – Hüttenhausen thinks of himself as an official Drum’n’Bass’ DJ and admits a soft spot for Indierock – they usually stick to the usual Bumm, Bumm, Bumm of any House or Techno Sub-Sub-Sub-Genre.

While they were initially taking everything on board that was thrown at them, they began to think that they could choose for themselves which parties were potential candidates to fulfil their bigoted expectations. So nowadays, they still misspell Kwality over Kwantity, but they do it with diligence.

Whoever wants to find out if his party is cool, just get in touch with the guys and ask for a few hours of their precious time and, if God willing, they manage to create a special night during which they are anxious to share their schizophrenic interpretation of “House”, “Techno” and everthing in between with an audience that goes beyond the common sphere of their morality.
